The converting and finishing module controls the flow of production through the process of producing finished fabric from greige fabric.
All machines in the finishing path are managed, and can optionally be controlled automatically or monitored electronically (see Production Machine Control). Machines may be grouped to allow easier management of machines. For example, if you have 3 stenters that are identical you can put the stenters into a single group and manage production through that group of machines.
For each finished fabric, a process path is defined and factory production orders are raised to process batches of fabric through the factory. The process paths are checked for capacity restrictions and paths can be set to use specific machines or a group of machines.
The system can optionally support middle inspection (inspection of fabric at a certain point during production) and tracks the time fabric spends waiting for processing in conjunction with the amount of time fabric spends being processed.
The system supports joining batches for continuous processing machines or splitting batches into smaller unites. It supports preparation, dyeing, printing, coating, bonding and many other types of finishing processes.
Reprocessing work is easily tracked and reporting tools are available for efficiency and work flow analysis.
The system also supports the ability to send jobs at any point of the production cycle to external companies for processing.
